Land Clearing and Forestry Mulching in Bella Vista, AR
Steep, wooded, and tight between the neighbors: that's the lot we clear. Mulched in place, nothing burned, nothing hauled, and the estimate is free: (501) 208-6399.
Bella Vista was laid out as a village in the Ozark hills back in 1965, and plenty of its lots have spent the decades since growing oak, hickory, and cedar. Maybe you just bought one. Maybe you've owned it for years and finally want to build. Either way, you're looking at a steep wedge of timber off a winding street, houses close on both sides, brush too thick to walk your own corners. We clear it down to clean, workable ground without burning or hauling a thing.
Brice Contracting runs out of Hattieville, down in Conway County. That's about two hours from Bella Vista, and we'd rather tell you that than play local. The drive is no obstacle: we clear right-of-way along interstates and highways under contract, so hauling our own machines across Arkansas is routine, and Northwest Arkansas gets extra focus from us on purpose. The fleet is ours outright, excavators, forestry mulchers, bulldozers, and skid steers, and the company is licensed and insured. The owner's name is Austin Brice, and he stands behind the work.
Money, straight up: forestry mulching projects start at $2,500, and on hill ground we won't pretend a phone guess means anything. Austin walks the lot with you, points at what stays and what goes, and puts a firm number on it. The estimate costs you nothing. Call (501) 208-6399; he typically calls back within 10 minutes during business hours.
Seven Lakes, Steep Streets, and Sixty Years of Timber
These hills are why people buy here, and they're why clearing here is its own kind of job. Bella Vista is hollows and ridgelines with seven private lakes scattered through it, and the lots run straight up and down the grades. The old methods fall apart on ground like that. There's no room to burn a slash pile next to somebody's deck, and hauling debris out means loaded dump trucks working narrow, curving streets. A tracked forestry mulcher skips both: it climbs the slope, grinds trees and brush where they stand, and leaves the ground blanketed in mulch. That blanket earns its keep here, because bare dirt on a Bella Vista hillside doesn't stay put through many storms.
The town has outgrown its old reputation, too. What started as a retirement village is now one of the fastest-growing cities in Northwest Arkansas, full of people who work down the road in Bentonville, especially since the I-49 bypass opened in 2021 and put the whole town on the interstate. Lots that sat untouched for decades are selling and getting built on, and plenty of them surprise their new owners: on this terrain, the grade, the rock, and the trees decide where a house can sit before any floor plan does. Get the lot walked early. And if yours comes with POA paperwork, settle that before the work starts; we clear to your approved plan and your flagged trees, not to guesswork.

What We Clear in Bella Vista
Village Lots the Woods Took Back
Plenty of Bella Vista lots were platted long before anyone planned to build on them, and the woods took over. We mulch yours down to clean ground so your builder and your surveyor see a site instead of a thicket.
Clearing to See the Grade
You can't design a house for ground you can't walk. We knock down the understory first so you can see the slope, the rock, and the drainage, then you decide how much more comes out. Cheaper than changing the plans later.
Lake and Hollow Views
The view is a big part of what your lot is worth. We thin the right trees instead of dropping them all: flag your keepers, we grind the rest, and you get the water or the valley below without a scalped hillside.
Tight Lots, Close Neighbors
No room for a burn pile next to a fence line, no place to stage dump trucks on a curve. The mulcher works inside your property lines and the debris never leaves; it becomes the ground cover.
The Lot Next Door
Bought the adjoining lot for privacy or elbow room? Good move, but it shouldn't be a wall of cedar and ticks. We knock it back to open timber you can actually use, and a knockdown pass every few years keeps it that way.
Every Service, One Crew
We bring our own equipment to every Bella Vista job: forestry mulching, land clearing, and site development. No subcontractors, no rental delays.
"I really loved working with you all and plan on having you come back!"
