Land Clearing & Forestry Mulching in Greenbrier, AR

We cut homesites, driveways, and pads out of Greenbrier's wooded hill ground: no burning, no hauling, no scraped-bare slope left to wash. Free estimate, straight answer: (501) 208-6399.

Land around Greenbrier mostly comes one way: timber on a hill. Pretty to drive past, no good to build on until somebody opens it up. That's our work. Brice Contracting cuts homesites, driveways, and pads out of standing woods and leaves the trees you want right where they are. You point at the build spot; we turn it into clean, workable ground and keep the woods around it looking like woods.

Forestry mulching does the heavy lifting. The machine grinds trees and brush where they stand and leaves the ground covered in mulch, which matters on a grade: covered ground holds, scraped ground washes. No burn piles, no debris trucks running your county road all week. When the job needs dirt work, our own excavators, dozers, and skid steers cut the driveway, bench in the pad, and grade for drainage. One outfit, machines we own, done when we said it would be.

On price: forestry mulching work starts at $2,500, and you should know that before you ever pick up the phone. The walk-through costs nothing. Austin Brice owns the company and walks the property with you himself; he'll look at the slope, the timber, and where you want the house, then give you a number that holds. Licensed and insured. Call (501) 208-6399, and during business hours he typically calls back within 10 minutes.

North of Conway, the Flat Ground Runs Out

Greenbrier sits where Faulkner County starts to climb. The flatter ground south of town gives way to wooded ridges and hollows along US 65, hardwood and pine running up toward Woolly Hollow State Park and out Highway 25 toward Guy and Quitman. That hill ground is exactly what's selling. Growth keeps pushing up the 65 corridor out of Conway, and most of what's left to buy isn't a finished lot in a subdivision; it's three, five, or ten wooded acres on a grade. Good land. It just needs a driveway, a pad, and a yard cut into it before it's a homesite.

Sloped timber doesn't forgive sloppy work, so the order matters. We take the trees down with the mulcher first, which keeps the ground covered while the project moves, then cut dirt only where the build needs it: a driveway graded to climb without washing out, a pad benched in level, water routed away from the slab before there is a slab. Our shop sits in Hattieville, over in Conway County, about 35 minutes from Conway with Greenbrier a short run up US 65 from there. We haul equipment all over Arkansas for clearing and right-of-way work; a trip to Greenbrier is a normal morning, not a special occasion.

What We Clear in Greenbrier

Homesites in Standing Timber

You don't need the whole place cleared, just the right two acres of it. We grind out the build site, keep the shade trees you flag, and leave you a clean spot for the house with real woods around it instead of a moonscape.

Driveways Cut Through the Trees

A lot of builds out here start a few hundred yards off the pavement. We clear the route through the timber and grade it to handle the climb, so concrete trucks and delivery drivers make it to the pad in any weather.

More Yard, Less Thicket

Already living on wooded acreage? If the tree line has crept up on the house, we'll knock it back: more yard, more light, a fence line you can see, and fewer snakes and ticks living ten feet from the back porch.

Outbuildings and Septic Runs

Out here everything needs its own flat spot. We clear and grade for shops, barns, and outbuildings, and open clean runs for septic lines and utilities on ground that was solid woods the week before.

The Acres You Meant to Build On

Bought a wooded tract off 65 a few years back and life got busy? Brush doesn't wait on you. We take it back to clean, walkable ground so the build can finally start, with nothing burned and nothing hauled off.

Every Service, One Crew

We bring our own equipment to every Greenbrier job: forestry mulching, land clearing, and site development. No subcontractors, no rental delays.

"We appreciate everything you've done. It looks like a different place! We will be recommending you, and we will call you back the next time we need anything done!"
