Land Clearing and Forestry Mulching in Morrilton, Arkansas

Fence lines, pasture corners, house spots, hunting ground: we mulch it clean and leave it usable. Our shop is 15 minutes up the road in Hattieville, and the walk-the-property estimate is free.

Morrilton is our county seat, and Conway County is home. Brice Contracting's shop sits in Hattieville, about 15 minutes up the road, which makes Morrilton work the shortest haul on the schedule. A fence line you can't string wire through anymore. A pasture corner the cedar took back. The spot on the family place where a house is supposed to go. All of it needs the same first move: brush and scrub timber off, ground back in your hands. We don't have far to come to do it.

Forestry mulching handles most of it. One machine chews standing brush and small timber into mulch and leaves it spread across the ground as cover. Nothing gets piled, nothing gets burned, nothing leaves on a truck. When a job goes past clearing, into a pad, a driveway, or real dirt work, we bring excavators, dozers, and skid steers. We own all of it outright, so the right machine is on the trailer the first trip.

Price talk, up front: forestry mulching projects start at $2,500. We'd rather you know that before you call than after. The estimate is free either way. Austin Brice owns the company; he'll meet you at the gate, walk the ground with you, and put a number on it that holds. Call (501) 208-6399. Licensed and insured.

This Is Our Home County

Morrilton ground does a little of everything. South of town, Highway 9 crosses the Arkansas River and runs out to Oppelo, flat bottom farm ground that holds water the way bottoms do, with Petit Jean Mountain standing off to the west. West of town, the low ground along Point Remove Creek runs out toward the Ed Gordon Point Remove WMA at Blackwell, and the private ground near those bottoms grows willow and buckbrush about as fast as you can knock it down. North and east it turns to cattle country: pasture, hayfields, and fencerows from Plumerville up through Hattieville and Center Ridge. Different ground, different jobs. We run machines built for each.

Here's what 15 minutes gets you. Small jobs make sense here that wouldn't for an outfit trailering machines in from two counties over, so don't sit on a brushy two acres because you figure nobody will drive out to look at it. We will, and the look is free. Scheduling stays honest because the drive is short: bottom ground waits until it firms up, pasture and upland work doesn't have to wait on much of anything. And road work is familiar ground for us; Brice holds right-of-way clearing contracts along Arkansas interstates and highways. Anywhere in Conway County is home turf.

What We Clear in Morrilton

A Wall Where the Fence Was

A fencerow that's grown into a wall of hedge, briar, and volunteer trees isn't a fence anymore. We mulch it clean on both sides so you can pull the old wire, set new posts, and see your boundary again. Field edges and ditch banks get the same treatment.

Brushy Corners Back to Grass

Every farm around Morrilton has them: the wet corner, the old pond bank, the patch behind the barn that cedar and sweetgum claimed. Mulching grinds it flat, the cover protects the soil, and grass moves back in. More grazeable acres without buying a single one.

Where the New House Is Going

A lot of building in Conway County starts with an acre carved off the home place. We clear the spot where the house will sit, cut the driveway path in from the county road, and leave the shade trees you point at standing.

Camp Roads and Bottomland Brush

Bottomland brush closes in fast, and a camp road you can't drive in December is no camp road at all. On private ground around the creeks and river bottoms, we open roads, clear lanes, and knock the willow and buckbrush back to where you can hunt it.

Weekend Places Toward Petit Jean

Property near the mountain gets bought for the quiet, then the underbrush moves in on it. We thin it out, clear around the cabin or the build site, and leave the place looking like somewhere you'd actually spend a Saturday.

Every Service, One Crew

We bring our own equipment to every Morrilton job: forestry mulching, land clearing, and site development. No subcontractors, no rental delays.

"Thank you so much for the work you did on our land! You helped us see what is possible by giving us space to create. We will definitely recommend you to our friends and family!"
