Land Clearing and Forestry Mulching in Russellville, Arkansas
Overgrown lake lots, creeping field edges, wooded build sites: cleared to clean ground, no burning, no hauling. Free estimates. Call (501) 208-6399.
The River Valley grows brush like it's getting paid. Privet chokes the fencerows, sweetgum marches into the fields, and the lake lot you bought for the view now has a wall of green where the water used to be. We grind all of it back to clean ground: trees, stumps, thickets, whatever moved in while you were busy.
Brice Contracting is a land clearing and forestry mulching outfit based in Hattieville, about 30 minutes from Russellville. Owner Austin Brice runs the company, the crew, and the machines, and the machines are ours: forestry mulchers, excavators, bulldozers, skid steers. We don't rent iron and we don't wait on anybody else's schedule. We work all over Arkansas, and Pope County is one of the shorter hauls from the shop.
Here's the cost talk up front, since that's half of why you're reading. Forestry mulching projects start at $2,500; under that, firing up the machines doesn't make sense for either of us. Above it, price rides on acres, density, and terrain, so we don't guess. We walk the ground with you, free, and you leave with a number you can plan around, not a range that doubles later.
Two Kinds of Ground in Pope County
Pope County splits into two kinds of ground, and we bring different iron to each. South of town along the Arkansas River it's bottomland: flat, fertile, and quick to turn into a jungle the year you stop mowing it. North of I-40 the land climbs toward the Ozark National Forest, and the timber up Highway 7 past Dover gets thicker and steeper with every mile. Mulchers handle brush and saplings where you want the topsoil left alone. Dozers and excavators come out when there's dirt to move, a pad to cut, or stumps that need to leave for good.
Then there's the lake. Lots around Lake Dardanelle, from Russellville out toward London, get bought for the water and lost to the brush, and a lot you can't walk is a lot you can't build on, camp on, or sell. Add the working farms between Russellville, Pottsville, and Dover, plus Arkansas Tech keeping the town's build and rental market moving, and there's no shortage of ground here that needs to earn its keep. That's the work we want: two tangled acres by the water or forty up in the hills, cleared and usable again.

What We Clear in Russellville
Lake Dardanelle Lot Cleanup
A lake lot disappears fast around here. We mulch the brush and scrub trees where they stand, open the lot back up to the water, and leave a layer of ground cover that holds the bank instead of bare dirt and burn scars. No piles, no smoke, no hauling.
Shrinking Fields, Buried Fences
Valley timber creeps a few feet a year, and after a decade you're working less ground than you pay taxes on. We knock the timber back to the old field line and grind the fencerows clean, so you get your acres and your fence back in the same pass.
Build Sites Past Dover
Buying wooded ground up Highway 7 toward Dover, or out past Pottsville? We take it from standing timber to a graded pad with a driveway a concrete truck can actually get down. Clearing, dirt work, and site prep with one crew and our own machines.
Back to Bush-Hog Ground
Privet, cedar, and sweetgum will own an idle parcel in a few years. We grind it all back to ground level so a bush hog can keep it that way. Cheaper to maintain than to reclaim twice.
Deer Woods and Food Plots
Shooting lanes, plot ground, and trails through River Valley timber. A mulcher cuts clean paths without rutting the place up, and the woods stay walkable the day we leave.
Every Service, One Crew
We bring our own equipment to every Russellville job: forestry mulching, land clearing, and site development. No subcontractors, no rental delays.
"We appreciate everything you've done. It looks like a different place! We will be recommending you, and we will call you back the next time we need anything done!"
